Naar aanleiding van contacten met de Belgische autoriteiten heeft de Commissie kennis gekregen van een reeks maatregelen van SOGEPA (een overheidsholding die voor 100 % in handen is van het Waals Gewest) ten gunste van VSL. Het betreft een leninggarantie, de overdracht en het exclusieve gebruik van de merknaam Val Saint-Lambert, een lening, een kapitaalverhoging, de verkoop van vastgoed van VSL aan een overheidsinstantie en de financiering van saneringswerkzaamheden.
