Según las conclusiones de una evaluación del riesgo realizada en 2013 por el Dutch Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu (instituto nacional de salud pública y protección del medio ambiente), el gas natural que se comercializa para ser utilizado por los consumidores y que tiene un límite de benceno superior al 0,1 % en peso, pero inferior a 0,1 % en volumen, no supone un riesgo inaceptable para la salud.
A risk assessment carried out in 2013 by the Dutch Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieu (National Institute for Public Health and the Environment) concluded that natural gas that is placed on the market for use by consumers and has a limit for benzene above 0,1 % by weight, but below 0,1 % by volume, does not pose an unacceptable health risk.
